Equipment Maintenance

Allied Aviation currently has in place an aggressive maintenance program in which each piece of into-plane fueling & support equipment receives at least 10 to 14 hours of preventive maintenance and quality control checks each month. These checks meet our customers’ specifications and airline quality control manual requirements. In addition to these maintenance procedures, at the beginning of each work shift the fueler conducts and documents an inspection of the piece of equipment he/she will be using. The documentation of these inspections is reviewed on a daily basis by a supervisor to insure that any discrepancy noted has been properly repaired. The following is an outline of Allied Aviation’s equipment maintenance program:
Hydrant Cart - Thirty point functional inspection conducted by fueler. Fluid levels checked and quality control evaluation done by maintenance personnel. Tow Cart - Twelve point functional inspection conducted by fueler. Quality control evaluation done by maintenance personnel. Tank Truck – Thirty-one point functional inspection conducted by fueler. Fluid levels checked and quality control evaluation done by maintenance personnel.
Hydrant Cart & Tank Trucks – Fifty-seven point inspection conducted by maintenance mechanics. These inspections include the disassembly and inspection of critical fuel delivery components to insure reliable service. In addition to these inspections, each unit is flow tested to confirm it is delivering on-specification product at the specified rate. Tow Cart – Twenty-two point inspection conducted by maintenance mechanics. These inspections include the disassembly and inspection of critical fuel delivery components to insure reliable service. In addition to these inspections, each unit is flow tested to confirm it is delivering on-specification product at the specified rate.
